Kim Woo Hyun (played by So Ji Sub) was the only son of a high ranking officer. He entered the police academy and graduated from it ranked first. He worked in the cyber investigation department. With his team, he was investigating Hades, a mysterious and genius hacker. Meanwhile, Shin Hyo Jung, a popular actress, found dead for jumping out of her apartment's window. Police assumed it as a suicide for her last message left on her social media account. Detective Yoo Gang Mi (Lee Yeon Hee) found that the message wasn't written by Hyo Jung. She also found that Hyo Jung's laptop was hacked by Hades which meant Hades became the suspect. When Kim Woo Hyun caught Hades, he was shocked for Hades was actually his friend in the police academy.
Hades' true name was Park Gi Young. He founded an online journalism. He and Kim Woo Hyun were best friend when they were in academy. Park Gi Young who loved cyber stuff, hacked the police secret data and that made him expelled from the academy. He also decided not to be police for he found the dirty politics within. When he met again with Kim Woo Hyun, he said that he only did his job. He got an email to get a phantom file from Shin Hyo Jung. Through a video of the dying Shin Hyo Jung, Gi Young said that Shin Hyo Jung didn't commit a suicide but she was murdered. The real killer was wearing a world map watch.
Gi Young called Woo Hyun to meet in an abandoned factory. There, Woo Hyun asked for Gi Young's help but suddenly the factory exploded. One was dead, the other one was suffered severe burn. With the name tag of Woo Hyun in his hand, Gi Young was recovered as Woo Hyun. He disguised himself as Woo Hyun to catch the real killer. What a surprise, when Gi Young met a man wearing a world map watch, the man actually recognized Woo Hyun. Gi Young tried to find out what's the relationship between Woo Hyun and the killer before his true identity revealed.
I prefer this kind of drama. It's about cyber investigation team. No romance yet it's quite thrilling. Though actually the reason of the murder is a bit saddening but this drama is recommended for those crime dramas lovers.
