[SERIES] THE PRINCESS' MAN; When Love Meets Enemy

Kim Jong Seo was a powerful Prime Minister and trusted by King Moon Jong. Kim Jong Seo's youngest son, Kim Seung Yoo (played by Park Shi Hoo) was smart and good looking. He was appointed to be Princess Kyung Hye's teacher. Prince Lee Soo Yang, King Moon Jong's brother proposed a marriage for his daughter, Lee Se Ryung (Moon Chae Won) towards Kim Jong Seo's family. Lee Se Ryung was curious about her future husband so she asked Princess Kyung Hye a favor. Se Ryung pretended as a princess to see how her future husband looked like. Unexpectedly, Seung Yoo saw Se Ryung and thought that she was Princess Kyung Hye. Love started blooming between both of them.

[SERIES] THORN BIRDS; Don't Let The Thorns Grow

It's quite hard to find watch/download link for this drama. I think it's not so popular but I find the story is good enough to remind us how hard work will worth and true love will never end.

Seo Jung Eun (played by Han Hye Jin) and Han Yoo Kyung (Kim Min Jung) were best friends when they were in middle high school. Jung Eun grew up in an orphanage. She dreamed to be an actress and Yoo Kyung helped her to record her self-performances. Jung Eun admired a famous actress, Lee Ae Rin and wished that she was her real mother.

[SERIES] EMPIRE OF GOLD; The World with Greed

There's always a protagonist and an antagonist in every drama. But, in this series, you will find that every character is more likely to be antagonist. It was started with a scene where Choi Seo Yoon (played by Lee Yo Won) waiting for her bridegroom, Jang Tae Joo (Go Soo). The wedding was held on a church and there were only both of them there. Seo Yoon would like to put the ring on Tae Joo's finger but she noticed that there was trace of blood in Tae Joo's hand. Then, it brought them to 20 years ago.

In 1990s, where there was IMF financial crisis, Tae Joo who had been graduated from university found out that his father must die for holding on his little restaurant. A rich family would like to buy the land there and get rid of the people who stood against them. Tae Joo's father who suffered from the injuries couldn't survive for he had no money to get surgery. By this incident, Tae Joo promised to himself to get rich and avenge to the rich men who "killed" his father.

Tae Joo, accompanied by his best friend, met Yoon Seol Hee, his senior when he was  at school. They worked together in a property field. He worked as hard as he could to reach the top. Love grew between both of them but because of Tae Joo's greed, he sacrificed Seol Hee to get in the jail in his place. Tae Joo married Seo Yoon though he didn't love her. In the other hand, Seo Yoon also need Tae Joo to fight with her cousin.

This drama showed that poor people couldn't survive just because they didn't have enough money to get better medication. Even, honesty and intelligence weren't worthy. But, once again, it taught us not to be greedy. The more we feed our greed, the more it will grow and eat you up. 

[SERIES] NINE; Nine Times Travel

Park Sun Woo (played by Lee Jin Wook) was an anchorman. He met his brother briefly before his brother went to Nepal. His brother told him about making up their past. Sun Woo didn't get what his brother talked about. Later, Sun Woo found out that his brother died in the mountain. The strange thing was his brother died holding an incense. Sun Woo couldn't sleep at night after he confirmed his brother's body. He lit the incense up and it took him to himself 20 years ago.

[SERIES] HOTEL KING; The Hotel Lies A Secret

This drama reunited Lee Dong Wook and Lee Da Hae after My Girl. It's about Cha Jae Wan, a general manager of Hotel Ciel and Ah Mo Ne, an heiress of the hotel. Lee Joong Goo, a man who picked Jae Wan when he was a beggar from a lousy street, told that Ah Sung Won was his father and had abandoned him and his deceased mother. That's why Jae Wan would like to avenge his father. He told Sung Won that he was his son but accidentally Sung Won was dead.

After Sung Won's death, Ah Mo Ne, Sung Won's daughter appeared. She wanted to know how his father died. Jae Wan who thought Ah Mo Ne was his sister, slowly fell in love with her. Feeling guilty to have the forbidden feeling, Jae Wan tried to ignore her. In the other hand, Ah Mo Ne loved Jae Wan sincerely and did her best to keep the hotel.

Manager Baek Mi Nyeo held a lot of secrets that no one knows. She helped Ah Mo Ne to be a chairwoman but also framed her for a fraud. She also tried to kill Jae Wan who later known to be his son. Jae Wan also found out that his biological father was Lee Joong Goo. Knowing this fact, he finally felt relieved and started a relationship with Ah Mo Ne.


Once again, revenge brings no happiness. People who plan to avenge other people usually get more miserable. This drama shows that sincere love can melt someone's cold heart. The love I talk about is not only love between man and woman but also between friends and parents-children.

[SERIES] QUEEN OF AMBITION; Ambition equals to greedy

Soo Ae, is an actress whom I dislike actually. Lol. But, I have to admit that in this series she acted well. Soo Ae played as Joo Da Hae, a woman who had difficult life when she was young. She stayed in an orphanage then met Ha Ryu, who set his eyes on her. She was taken by her mother later and lived with her stepfather and stepbrother. Her stepfather had been sexually abusing her so she decided to run away but her stepfather found her and she had no choice to kill him. Ha Ryu who saw the murder, asked her to keep it as secret. They buried the body in a mountain.
