Yoon Cheo Yong (played by Oh Ji Ho) was a detective who could see ghosts. He lost his partner, Jang Dae Seok, when he was on duty. The killer was a man who was possessed by an evil spirit. After the incident, he was transferred to a small police office. 8 years later, he was called to Seoul office to solve mysterious cases. In the police office, he met a high school ghost named Han Na Young (Jun Hyo Seong). She didn't remember her identity and couldn't out of the police office. Cheo Yong had a new partner, a quiet female detective, Ha Sun Woo (Oh Ji Eun).
Cheo Yong didn't want to lose a partner so he tried to ignore Sun Woo. But Sun Woo tried to be his best partner. One day, Na Young could possess Sun Woo's body. She didn't know how that happened. Later, Na Young remember that she was Sun Woo's bestfriend when they were at high school. Na Young was killed by the same killer who killed Dae Seok. The reason she could possess Sun Woo was because they had a deep friendship.
Cheo Yong thought that the evil spirit had gone after Dae Seok's death. But, it reappeared in Dae Seok's body. The evil spirit was a man who held grudge towards Cheo Yong. When he was murdered unfairly, his wife was also being chased. His spirit would like to save his wife, but Cheo Yong had a misunderstanding so Cheo Yong stabbed him with a special blade and made his spirit disappeared. Because of that, his spirit reappeared and asked for a revenge.
The story of Cheo Yong continued. It was told that few years after the incident of Dae Seok, Cheo Yong's partner who had died but then reappeared because of being possessed by an evil spirit, the unit he had worked at had been disbanded and the members were transferred to different areas.
Inspector Kang Gi Young gathered some of them. The ex-team leader, Byeon Kook Jin, Cheo Yong and his ex-teammate, Lee Jong Hyun, met again to solve special cases. Of course, Han Na Young followed Cheo Yong. Once again, they worked together to solve cases which involving spirits. There was a female detective who had ability being able to be possessed. That made Han Na Young could possess her body and help Cheo Yong to solve the cases.
Some criminals got freed easily on the trial with the help of a lawyer, Han Gyu Hyeok. But, after they were released, they suddenly disappeared. The investigation led Cheo Yong's team to the personal punishment for those criminals. The given verdict was death penalty. The initiator was Han Gyu Hyeok himself with the help of the victim's family who felt injustice towards the verdict on court. Prosecutor Nam Min Soo offered his help to catch Han Gyu Hyeok while actually he had another goal behind it.
