No offense, but the title describes the series. Kim Do Jin, Im Tae San, Choi Yoon, Lee Jung Rok were 40-year-old men and best friends more than 20 years. Despite of their age, when they gather, they were back like boys. The four of them had uneasy love story.
Kim Do Jin
Kim Do Jin owned a contractor company, joined with Im Tae San. He was a playboy but fell for Seo Yi Soo, a high school teacher. Then he found out that Seo Yi Soo held one-sided love to Im Tae San. Kim Do Jin didn't give up. He tried to win her heart and convinced he was serious this time. When Seo Yi Soo started to have the same feeling to Kim Do Jin, Collin, a 16-year-old boy, appeared and claimed that he was Kim Do Jin's son.
Im Tae San
Im Tae San played baseball and Seo Yi Soo was the referee. In the field, they met and became friends. Im Tae San fell for Seo Yi Soo's friend, Hong Se Ra, a golf athlete. Im Tae San wanted to marry her but she rejected. She wasn't ready to have a commitment. Besides, she wanted to play golf longer especially her techniques was gradually going down. Their relationship was going up and down; break up; dating again till Hong Se Ra knew that she was pregnant and brought an important decision to make.
Choi Yoon
It's the most heartbreaking story for me. Choi Yoon was a lawyer and a widowed man after his wife's death four years ago. Im Meari, Tae San's sister, loved Choi Yoon since she was a kid and she had still her feeling towards Choi Yoon. Choi Yoon slowly started to looked Im Meari as a woman, despite of the 17-year-gap between them. Choi Yoon tried to hold his feelings for he didn't want to ruin his friendship with Im Tae San. Im Tae San would like send her abroad if she still clang on Choi Yoon. In the end, people must choose what make them really happy even it means there's something to sacrifice.
Lee Jung Rok
Lee Jung Rok owned a cafe and Im Meari's boss. He was married but totally a playboy. When he saw a beautiful woman, he took his wedding ring off and acted like a single man. His wife, Park Min Sook, was older than him and a super rich woman but they didn't have kids. Even his wife knew his relationship with women, Lee Jung Rok didn't stop to chasing women till one day Park Min Sook wanted to divorce. Lee Jung Rok didn't want to end his marriage but Park Min Sook had made her decision. Lee Jung Rok, the womanizer, tried once again to win his wife's heart back.
Fortunately, everyone has happy ending. ^^
This drama teaches us to love sincerely, to fight for someone we truly love.
Men are men, no matter how a man loves his woman, he always looks for a "side dish" and men never grow up though it doesn't mean they are not responsible.
I love this drama for its friendship story more than the love story. lol.
The additional scenes after each episode end will make you laugh and envy how beautiful men's friendship is.
